About This Collection

Labradorite is one of the most mesmerizing stones I work with. Its signature flash, called labradorescence, reveals hidden blues, greens, golds, and purples that shift with every movement. No two stones flash the same way, making every piece a genuine one-of-a-kind find. I source labradorite for its color intensity and flash quality, then set each stone in sterling silver or 14k gold with designs that let you catch every angle of that hidden fire.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is labradorescence?
Labradorescence is the optical phenomenon that gives labradorite its signature flash of color. Light enters the stone and reflects off internal layers, revealing hidden blues, greens, golds, and sometimes purple or orange. The flash is different in every stone, which is what makes each piece unique.
How should I care for labradorite jewelry?
Labradorite rates 6-6.5 on the Mohs scale, so it needs gentle care. Avoid hard impacts, especially on ring settings. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. It's ideal for pendants, earrings, and necklaces worn daily. Store separately to prevent scratches from harder stones.
Are Ulka Rocks jewelry pieces one-of-a-kind?
Many pieces are truly one-of-a-kind due to unique stone combinations and natural gemstone variations. Other styles are produced in limited small batches. Since I use natural gemstones, each piece has unique color and character even within the same style. Once sold, most designs cannot be exactly replicated.
