The Story & Styling

An oval tanzanite cabochon is a quiet, substantial stone on its own. Setting a faceted pink tourmaline directly into the dome is an old-world technique that gives the piece a focal point inside the larger stone. The diamond halo lifts the warm pink against the cool depth of the tanzanite.

Wears beautifully solo on a fine 14K or 18K chain at the collarbone, or layered with shorter chains. Pairs with cream, ivory, navy, soft pink, and warm neutrals.

Ulka's Expert Insight: Tanzanite is mined from a single source on earth, the Merelani Hills in Tanzania. The deeper the violet-blue, the more collectible the stone, since saturation cannot be replicated through treatment.
