About this collection

Meet the signature Ulka Rocks Jamboree: our famous hand-knotted gemstone necklaces featuring one-of-a-kind mixes of high-end natural stones—sapphire, tourmaline, emerald, moonstone, labradorite, kyanite, and more—composed in stunning color stories. Each strand is meticulously hand-knotted between every bead for security and elegant drape. At 34–36 inches, these versatile necklaces wear beautifully long or doubled for layered sophistication. Hand-knotted by Ulka with secure pavé-diamond sterling clasps or 14k gold options. Each Jamboree takes days to create and is absolutely singular—once sold, that exact combination can never be replicated.

FAQs

What materials and gemstones does Ulka Rocks use in jewelry?
I work primarily in sterling silver (.925) and 14k and 18k gold (yellow and white) with natural precious and semi-precious gemstones including sapphires, emeralds, rubies, tourmalines, opals, aquamarines, garnets, spinels, tanzanites, and natural diamonds. When I use pearls, I select high-quality natural freshwater and Tahitian pearls. All pieces use genuine, untreated or disclosed-treatment gemstones sourced directly from gem shows. Each product page lists exact materials, gemstone origins, and metal finish.
Where is Ulka Rocks jewelry made and is it ethically sourced?
Most of my jewelry is handcrafted in Jaipur, India by artisan families I've worked with personally for over 10 years. I visit their workshops and factories regularly to ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and ethical practices. My gemstones are responsibly sourced directly from verified vendors at international gem shows (Tucson, Bangkok, JCK Vegas) with full transparency about origins and any treatments. I maintain direct relationships with my suppliers—no middlemen—ensuring both ethical sourcing and fair compensation throughout the supply chain. When you buy from Ulka Rocks, you're supporting small family businesses and traditional jewelry craftsmanship that's been passed down through generations. Every piece comes with the story of its makers and materials.
Does Ulka Rocks provide gemstone certifications and jewelry appraisals?
For jewelry pieces over $5,000, I can arrange official gemstone certification from internationally recognized laboratories including GIA (Gemological Institute of America), GGTL (Gem & Gold Testing Laboratory - India), IGITL (International Gemological Institute - India), GRS (GemResearch Swisslab - Thailand), and AIGS (Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences - Thailand). Certification fees vary by laboratory and stone type. I also offer professional insurance appraisals for any jewelry purchase—this written appraisal includes detailed descriptions, photographs, current replacement value, and gemstone specifications for your insurance company. Insurance appraisal service is available for a fee based on the number of items. Email mailto:ulka@ulkarocks.com to request certification or appraisal services. Most clients find certification unnecessary for pieces under $5,000 as I guarantee authenticity of all gemstones.
Are Ulka Rocks jewelry pieces one-of-a-kind or limited edition?
Many designs—especially my signature gemstone strand beaded necklaces and statement gemstone and stone pendants—are one-of-a-kind (OOAK) due to unique stone combinations sourced directly from international gem shows and from artisan stone cutters. Other styles like my Signature Combos and Jamboree Necklaces are produced in limited small batches. Since I use natural gemstones, each piece has unique color variations and character even within the same style. Once sold, most designs cannot be exactly replicated.
