The Sleeping Beauty mine is seven miles outside of Globe, Arizona. It is noted for its solid, light, sky blue color with no matrix. With the closing of the Arizona Turquoise Mine in the fall of 2012, this turquoise highly sought after. It is one of the few types of turquoise that is stable enough to be polished and used for turquoise jewelry without any treatment or stabilization.
